My Daily Ride

My friend Keith is a daily rider like myself.  He recently wrote a blog where another rider blogger asked people to describe their daily view.  The challenge was one picture to sum up your ride.

Could one picture do it for me?  Without a doubt, I knew one could but like Keith I liked my views and wanted to share the ride.

If I only picked one picture this would be the one!

Now on to what I generally see when I ride.  I am blessed with a lot of twisties and elevation when I ride to work. I do not ride with a lot of traffic.  Even in an urban setting I go the back way.

Uphill Twisty!

Over I-55, CYA suckers!

Over the creek and through.....

Love this steep hill

A very interesting home, low yard maintenance

Over 270, hurry up people you are late!

Oh I love this hard right...

A lot of flowers and hard work here!

The Busch family lives behind those gates, yes the beer family
Not a stop in the winter months but I like watching the families going into Grant's Farm when the weather warms

Clydesdale Twist
Another urban twist

Well manicured Webster

There's the store right on the Mother Road!

I pass over three Interstates, stop... well sorta stop at 16 stop signs and travel through 10 stop lights on my normal route.  Most days are not normal at times my 30 mile round trip ride in or home can be 50 miles just for the fun of it!

Yes, I'm a daily rider.  My car was last at work on January 28, 2011.

I can't explain why I ride, I don't do it to save gas this I know.  Most people make that assumption.  I will take a quote from one of my earlier blogs:

As I rode into work after she passed 10,000, I reflected on how much this scooter has changed my life. I have been places I would have never gone. I have seen things I would have never seen without her. I have cultivated what I hope will be life long friendships that I otherwise would not have.

I know why you ride instead of driving. Its beautiful and amazing! Riding gives you that awesome feeling that makes you feel as if you are on top of the world. let no one talk you out of it.
