Snowmageddon STL 2014
We did get 10"-12" of snow. It's amazing how it disables this city but I guess we really are not equipped for those numbers.
I took a few shots yesterday, rarely leaving the couch!
Lucky our cat loved the snow!

The other animals were grateful for the feed.
The drift by the patio door was a little high!

Polar Bear Ride 2014
Well sorta... it was almost 50 as we left Bottleworks. We took a ride through Forest Park then down to the Riverfront. The Arch grounds along the river front are closed for a bit due to the big renovations so we improvised and went to Rootwad Park. I call it Turtle Park! Not many people even know this hidden gem is in the city.

Spring Makes You Feel Young
Pete and I finally got out on a nice urban ride around the perimeter of St. Louis County. We enjoyed a picnic lunch at Sioux Passage Park then onto Fort Belle Fontaine, the oldest military installation in the Louisiana Purchase. Lewis & Clark spent the last night of their trip at Fort Belle Fontaine.

Fog
I've ridden in rain, snow and ice but nothing matched the fog I rode in this week. Down near the Meramec River the visibility was zero. My hands did not dare leave for a photo. I kept praying a deer would not decide it was a good time to transverse Meramec Bottom Road.

Wow we are getting color!
Still early but we are getting some color. Maybe the late rain is helping? Now we need some frost and hopefully the fireworks will begin!
This tree stood out since it was the only one changing.

July 2012 = Drought
We did get a small ride in to see the Meramec and Mississippi river levels. Not a pretty sight...
